Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organized Chiropractic Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk operations, scheduling appointments, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with medical office systems, and a strong understanding of healthcare documentation and billing processes. The Chiropractic Receptionist will play a vital role in maintaining patient satisfaction and supporting the clinic’s operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and provide exceptional patient service at the front desk
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using EMR systems
- Verify insurance coverage and perform insurance verification procedures
- Manage medical records and ensure accurate documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Handle medical billing and collections, including processing CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding, and Medicare claims
- Maintain patient data entry accuracy through proficient typing and computer skills in Microsoft Office or clinic-specific software
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette; assist with patient inquiries and appointment coordination
- Manage filing, documentation review, and health information management tasks efficiently
- Support office management tasks such as inventory management, filing, and general clerical duties
- Assist with intake procedures for new patients and update care plans as needed
Experience (not required)
- Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred, especially within chiropractic or dental settings
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and medical billing practices is recommended
- Experience with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers is advantageous
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and health information management
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and clerical support experience (required)
