About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior AppOps / DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and optimize our cloud-native infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building reliable, scalable, and secure DevOps practices that support enterprise-grade applications.
- Cloud Infrastructure (AWS): Architect, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation/Terraform). Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, ELK/EFK, Prometheus, Grafana).
- CI/CD Automation: Design and maintain Jenkins pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation. Integrate CI/CD with GitHub/GitLab for automated delivery.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Build, optimize, and manage Docker images and containers. Deploy and manage applications in Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, or on-prem). Automate deployments using Helm charts.
- Event Streaming & Middleware: Deploy, configure, and manage Apache Kafka clusters on cloud or Kubernetes. Ensure reliability, high availability, and monitoring of Kafka topics and consumers.
- Automation & Reliability: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation). Drive site reliability practices (scaling, resilience, high availability). Perform root cause analysis and optimize system performance.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with developers, architects, and QA to ensure seamless DevOps adoption. Mentor junior DevOps engineers and establish best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 8–12 years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, and Infrastructure Automation.
- Strong expertise in AWS Cloud services (EC2, EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda).
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts.
- Proficiency in Kafka administration and monitoring. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or Shell).
- Familiarity with monitoring & observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, dynatrace).
- Experience with GitOps/Infra-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) and API gateways.
- Experience with security and compliance in DevOps (OAuth2, SSL, IAM policies).
- Exposure to serverless frameworks (AWS Lambda, Step Functions).
- Knowledge of CI/CD in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
