About the Job

Blank Canvas is expanding our face-to-face retail promotions function, and we’re seeking a confident Retail Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a fully on-site, customer-facing role with a clear focus on sales, communication, and building positive customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Set up in-store promotional displays, stands, and product areas to attract customer interest.
• Engage customers face-to-face, start conversations, and explain current offers or product information.
• Demonstrate products in person, highlighting key features and benefits.
• Support sales by guiding customers through their purchase journey and assisting with payment processes when needed.
• Deliver excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience and encourage repeat engagement.

Requirements

• Retail experience is helpful but not essential.
• Strong communication skills and confidence interacting with the public.
• Outgoing, people-focused personality with the ability to build quick rapport.
• Fast learner who is open to coaching and able to apply new information quickly.
• Adaptable and comfortable in a dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve both individual and team goals.
