Prepare for your professional future with an internship at Bland & Associates, P.C. We are seeking future graduates with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who can commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week. The internship program is designed to expose future graduates to our profession, our firm and the ever-changing business environment. Interns learn hands-on what it takes to be a part of a growing Omaha CPA firm by tackling a variety of different assignments, in the areas of accounting, audit, and tax, and government consulting. Bland & Associates, P.C. believes in providing our interns a real-life business experience.
We are specifically looking for candidates that attend school in the Omaha area. We currently have opportunities in both our CAAS (Client Accounting & Advisory Services) and Operations depts. for the Spring 2026 semester. Come be a part of Nebraska's first employee-owned CPA firm!
Responsibilities:
- Identify and communicate potential problem areas during engagements
- Work directly with other staff, managers and partners
- Ability to successfully prioritize and manage a variety of commitments and deadlines
- Capability to work accurately and precisely with a high degree of detail
- Eagerness to learn and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to display initiative while being confident in one's abilities in order to work independently
- Professionalism and ethical mindset, with a commitment to confidentiality and integrity
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft products
- Basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, introductory tax/audit concepts)
