Job Purpose:

The role supports the company's operations by ensuring timely delivery and maintaining the quality and integrity of the materials transported.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and drive trucks to deliver construction materials, with a focus on flooring and ceramic tiles, to designated locations.
- Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, ensuring the safety and security of the cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while maintaining a high standard of driving safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that arise during transport.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays encountered.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including delivering materials for other trades, to support the overall efficiency and effectiveness of BLAKLEY CORP's operations.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver, preferably in the construction industry
- Proven track record of safely transporting goods, particularly flooring and ceramic tiles, as well as other construction materials
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and delivery vehicles
