Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated Personal Care and Medication Aides to join our team. In this vital role, you will deliver personalized assistance to residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Your compassionate support will help residents maintain independence while receiving the highest quality of care in a warm, community-focused setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Monitor residents’ health status by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior.
- Document all care provided using electronic health records maintaining precise medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Support residents with specialized needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to report any concerns or changes in residents’ health or behavior promptly.
- Assist with transportation as well as interact and carry out activities.
- Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control procedures and assisting with emergency response protocols.
- If a Medication Aide: Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring compliance with all safety standards.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and medication administration processes are preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or specialized populations such as Alzheimer’s or dementia patients.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA), Medication Aide license, or equivalent is strongly preferred.
