We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dietary Aide/Cook to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will assist in meal preparation, food service, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. - Prepare and serve meals that meet dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and presentation to create appealing dishes for residents
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including sanitizing surfaces, washing dishes, and proper waste disposal
- Support meal service by bussing tables, assisting with tray delivery, and ensuring timely food delivery during meal times
- Follow all food safety protocols and sanitation procedures to uphold health standards in compliance with regulations
- Help with inventory management by receiving deliveries, storing supplies properly, and tracking food stock levels
- Collaborate with dietary staff to support special dietary needs or menu modifications as required
- Experience working in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food industry environments is highly preferred
- Proven culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety
- Strong time management skills to efficiently prepare meals within scheduled times
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and food service operations
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members
- Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through proper sanitation practices
- Prior dietary aide or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is valued
