Janitorial / Custodian

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial/Custodian employee to maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of our manufacturing facility, offices, restrooms, and employee breakrooms. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly work environment for employees and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms throughout the facility, including plant, weld shop, engineering, and front office bathrooms.
• Clean and disinfect toilets, sinks, and other restroom surfaces; clean floors and walls as needed.
• Replenish restroom supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.
• Clean employee lunchrooms and breakrooms, including wiping down tables, sweeping floors, and emptying trash.
• Empty trash receptacles throughout production offices, quality control (QC) offices and laboratory, maintenance, weld shop, dispatch, engineering, and front office areas.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the reception area, inner lobby, conference room, and general office spaces.
• Vacuum carpets and floors in designated offices, the engineering floor, and stairs.
• Mop floors and clean glass doors as needed.
• Dust office furniture, surfaces, conference room tables, window frames, high walls, and other designated areas.
• Perform periodic deep cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, and other designated areas.
• Follow the established cleaning schedule to ensure all assigned areas are maintained consistently.
• Use cleaning products and equipment safely and appropriately.
• Follow all applicable facility safety procedures.
• Perform other related janitorial and cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks according to a daily schedule.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Dependable, punctual, and organized.
• Ability to safely use standard cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and moving cleaning equipment and supplies.

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing facility and includes cleaning office spaces, production-related areas, restrooms, and employee common areas.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid meal period.

Pay: $43,680.00 - $45,760.00 per year
