Since 1947, Blake’s has grown into a nationally recognized brand rooted in quality, hospitality, and community.The Quality Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily quality, food safety, and sanitation activities to ensure all products meet regulatory, customer, and company standards. This role provides hands-on support for quality technicians and production teams, verifies compliance with GMPs and HACCP, leads corrective and preventive action processes, and ensures accurate completion of records. The Quality Supervisor helps identify nonconformances and is essential in maintaining the integrity of the facility’s food safety and quality management systems.Essential Functions· Responsible for the implementation and review of the facility’s HACCP plan as well as completing record review within required time frames· Perform routine verification of CCPs/PCs, sanitation effectiveness, environmental monitoring, allergen controls, and traceability requirements· Ensure sanitation standard operating procedures are being adhered to through auditing and training · Identify trends or recurring issues using data from quality checks, holds, complaints, and audits· Identify nonconformances and initiate product holds when necessary· Drive root cause analysis, coordinate corrective and preventive actions, and verify their effectiveness· Maintain audit readiness by supporting internal audits, third-party audits, ensuring proper documentation, sanitation, and adherence to quality · Communicate effectively with the leadership and operations team, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that product quality is upheld to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations · Follow systems and procedures outlined in the company manuals. · Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed.· Assign duties, tasks, and mentor quality technicians · Perform the duties of quality technicians during absences Other duties as assigned by their manager Requirements:· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred· 2 years of experience in food manufacturing and quality assurance· Working knowledge of SQF, GMPs, HACCP (certificate required), Preventive Controls, allergen management, and basic lab practices· Strong understanding of record keeping, documentation accuracy, and audit processes.· Must be able to perform physical tasks typical of manufacturing operations, including standing for extended periods and light lifting.· Flexibility to work longer hours during peak seasons to support business needs· Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel· Strong attention to details.· Strong interpersonal skills.· Ability to work weekends during the “busy season” which includes the months of September and October
