What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Driver position at Bladen County?
JOB An employee in this classification drives and operates a Cargo Van to transport Home Delivered Meals, Frozen Meals and Commodity Boxes to clients in various locations throughout Bladen County and performs related duties as assigned. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated based on attaining performance objectives, safe operation of vehicles and completion of assigned route. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION Minimum Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Physical Requirements
This is medium work requiring the exertion of 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work requires driving a cargo van for extended periods of time, climbing, balancing, stooping, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions. Vocal communication is required to communicate with other workers and the public. Hearing is required to perceive spoken words and other sounds encountered in the course of work (sirens, automobiles, horns, and others). Visual acuity is required for moving equipment, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work performed, and observing general surroundings and activities to ensure safety.
Special Requirements
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
