Retail Store AssociateReport To: Timote, Retail Store ManagerDepartment: Products & RetailLocation: Pleasant Grove, UTPay: $19 an hourSchedule:Full-Time Hourly- 40hrSchedule: Tues - Sat, 9:45 am – 6:15 pm (Schedule may change based on future needs).Job SummaryBlade HQ is preparing to open a new storefront and is in search of a Retail Store Associate. This person will assist the Manager in ordering, stocking, and merchandising products, and assist in training retail employees. This person will also be expected to assist customers in person with buying products in the storefront by showing products and describing the benefits of each item.TasksPlace orders for customersAnswer questions about productsAssist with returns and exchangesMaintain a clean and organized store front and display casesBalance the till to ensure enough change for customersAnswer emails, and assist others when no customers are in the store frontEnsure items have location stickers when restocking returned inventoryAuthorize L.E. and Military discounts and price matchesPlan and participate in store eventsAssisting other departments and other downtime activities as assignedMay include other duties and responsibilities as assigned by managementWork EnvironmentGeneral retail environmentSkillsExcellent English communication skillsPeople skillsKnowledge of outdoor tools and gearPOS experienceAbility to train retail workersPhysical DemandsNeed to stand for extended periods of timeDaily bending/squatting to pick up items from bottom shelf and retrieving items in display caseLift up to 25 - 50 pounds at a timeEducation and ExperienceKnife and outdoor equipment/tool knowledge requiredRetail or Customer service experience requiredSales experience preferredHigh School diploma or equivalentMust be 18 years of ageAbout Blade HQBlade HQ is one of the world's largest online retailers of knives and outdoor adventure gear.
