Job Description

Blackwood is seeking a Federal Contract Specialist to support its growing portfolio of government-wide acquisition contracts and agency-specific vehicles. This role is responsible for day-to-day contract administration and program compliance efforts for selected vehicles in addition to generalized contracts enablement support across non-vehicle transactions. You will partner with our Federal Sales Team and internal stakeholders to promote contract adherence and operational excellence from RFQ to close. This role reports to the Manager of Contracts & Capture.


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Ensure timely completion of mandatory reporting and compliance activities for federal contract vehicles
  • Complete federal representations and certifications packages
  • Maintain relationships with assigned vehicles’ Contracting Officers and PMOs.
  • Train staff on contract vehicle requirements and processes
  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records and documentation within contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems and internal repositories
  • Support contract catalog maintenance, contract modifications, renewals, and other changes as required.
  • Serve as contractual point of contact for maintenance of various supplier and vendor portals
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for issuance and execution of various company agreements, referring advanced redlining or negotiations to Manager.
  • Support bid and proposal efforts through compliance checks and completion of contractual forms.


Basic Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and government-wide acquisition contract requirements
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Strong organizational skills; accuracy and attention to detail, including follow-up.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel mandatory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in federal government contracts or procurement environment; private sector experience preferred
  • BA/BS degree
  • US Citizen; ability and willingness to obtain security clearance
  • Must reside in Washington DC Metro/Baltimore Region. Ability to travel 5% for meetings, events, and trainings..

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience supporting products and services based GWACs and other large order vehicles (GSA MAS, NASA SEWP, IDIQs)
  • Experience with SEWP ordering platforms, and associated compliance portals

Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
