The Superintendent oversees day-to-day field operations on electrical construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with plans, specifications, and codes. Responsibilities include coordinating and supervising field crews and subcontractors, organizing daily work activities, and monitoring productivity and quality. The Superintendent reviews drawings and scope, plans material and equipment needs, and works closely with project managers, forepersons, and clients to address issues and keep projects on track. The role also involves enforcing safety policies, conducting site inspections, documenting progress, and assisting with scheduling, change management, and closeout.

Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience supervising electrical construction projects, including overseeing field crews and coordinating daily site activities.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC), with the ability to interpret and apply them in the field.
- Proven ability to plan work, sequence tasks, and manage schedules, materials, tools, and equipment effectively on active job sites.
- Commitment to job-site safety, including implementing safety procedures, leading toolbox talks, and identifying and mitigating hazards.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to collaborate with project managers, clients, inspectors, and vendors, and to guide and motivate diverse field teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address field conditions, conflicts, and changes while maintaining quality and schedule.
- Proficiency with basic digital tools for reporting, scheduling, email, and document review; experience with construction or project management software is beneficial.
- Previous experience as a Superintendent, Foreperson, or similar supervisory role in electrical construction is preferred.
- Relevant certifications or licenses (such as journeyman or master electrician, OSHA safety training) are a plus.
- Ability to work on-site daily in Chesapeake, VA, including standing, walking, and working in active construction environments as required.
