Position Description
The Warehouse Manager position is innovative supply chain and logistics operations subject matter expert position to optimize an 80 employee and subcontractor personnel team for an End User Services federal government contract. This critical role is responsible for optimizing inventory management, warehousing performance, and transportation logistics in alignment with contractual obligations, cost-efficiency goals, and compliance regulations. The Warehouse Manager will design policies, layout designs, material flow, and KPI performance to ensure segregation of government-owned, contractor-acquired, and repairable inventory and lead continuous improvement efforts for inventory accuracy, space optimization, and audit readiness for team who support roughly 14,000 employees where 95% of the personnel are teleworking at least one day a week with 11,000 of those teleworkers working from home five days per week. The team supports 18,000 laptop/desktop computers for employees and contractors. The Warehouse Manager will oversee transportation functions, freight routing, carrier management, and develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shipments, ensure regulatory compliance (ITAR, EAR, HAZMAT, FMS, etc.) for all logistics movements, and directly supervise regional logistics leads and warehouse personnel. The Warehouse Manager will oversee a warehouse that contains 200 different items with approximately 11,000 items tracked and a total of approximately 20,000 items currently stored including high stacking. The team receives, ships, tracks, maintains, repairs, and/or disposes IT hardware.
This is a program-level leadership role, not a facility-level manager. This person is directly responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision, and performance of all Logistics operations, administration, support, configuration control, property management, computerized management systems, and fleet management.
Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Lead end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations across one or more facilities
- Oversee inventory management for high-value IT assets (multi-million-dollar environments)
- Ensure efficient receiving, staging, deployment, tracking, and disposal of equipment
Supply Chain Strategy & Optimization
- Design and optimize supply chain processes to improve delivery speed, cost efficiency, and accuracy
- Develop and implement performance-based logistics models and KPIs
- Reduce delivery timelines, optimize vendor usage, and streamline distribution networks
IT Asset & Lifecycle Management
- Oversee full lifecycle of IT assets (procurement → deployment → tracking → disposition)
- Ensure accurate configuration management and asset visibility across systems
- Integrate warehouse operations with IT service delivery environments
Program & Compliance Management
- Ensure adherence to SLAs, federal regulations (FAR/DFAR), and contract requirements
- Support supply chain risk management, including Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM)
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and governance frameworks
Systems & Data-Driven Operations
- Leverage tools (e.g., ServiceNow or equivalent) for tracking, reporting, and analytics
- Develop dashboards and metrics for operational performance and forecasting
- Drive data-informed decision-making across logistics operations
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, develop, and scale cross-functional teams (warehouse, logistics, procurement, technical support)
- Build high-performing, cross-trained teams (T-shaped resources)
- Establish accountability, performance standards, and continuous improvement culture
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, and/or supply chain management, or combination of these key areas
- Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing teams and operations
- Experience managing large-scale warehouse environments (50K sq ft or equivalent complexity)
- Experience managing high-value inventory ($10M preferred)
- Demonstrated experience supporting federal or DoD programs
- Strong knowledge of the following:
- Supply chain lifecycle management
- IT asset management
- SLA-driven operations
- Federal logistics/compliance frameworks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with IT equipment logistics and asset lifecycle management
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar asset/logistics systems
- Knowledge of C-SCRM, ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFAR compliance
- PMP, CSCP, CPPS, Six Sigma, or similar certifications
- Experience managing multi-site or distributed warehouse operations
- Experience reducing delivery timelines and optimizing supply chain cost models
