What are the responsibilities and job description for the BOM Coordinator position at BlackTree Technical Group, Inc.?
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain detailed, multi-level BOMs for robotic systems, material handling equipment, conveyors, safety components, and other electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Create and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), including drawing releases and BOM updates.
- Develop and maintain tools and calculators that support change management, such as tracking as-designed vs. as-built deviations, field and manufacturing redlines, and retrofits to installed systems.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering and design teams to compile BOM documentation, including integrated third-party equipment and recommended spare parts lists.
- Support accurate, on-time release of project deliverables within a phase-gate development process.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience creating and maintaining BOMs for large electro-mechanical assemblies and systems (deep multi-level structures with thousands of unique components).
- Hands-on experience with a PLM system (Teamcenter preferred).
- Highly detail-oriented and schedule-driven.
- SolidWorks experience is a plus.
- Background in material handling or automation systems is a plus.
