The Opportunity
The pool attendant is responsible for taking ownership of the guest experience the moment they enter the pool area. They will be responsible for greeting and seating the party, menu presentation, beverage service, servingclearing of plates, keying in the order and assisting other team members throughout the course of service until all guests have left the pool area. They will be knowledgeable of all menu items on the Poolside Menu and the Dining Menu/All Day Menu, including winespirits. Additionally, the pool server is responsible for assisting with cocktail parties, receptions, and banquets. The pool server will assist in the bar, foyer, pool and other areas when needed. Duties will also include setup and break down of all aspects of functions, including moving furniture.
What You'll Do
- Learn and remain knowledgeable about current menu items including food, winespirits
- Opens and closes areas according to prescribed procedures
- Sets up side station and performs daily assigned side work
- Responsible for keeping pool area organized and well stocked throughout service
- Stays up to date on all upcoming club events and amenities
- Maintains daily inventory, checks bar stocks, ensures all equipment is in place and operational
- Keeps track of all products and reports low quantities of items to management
- Greet guests and assist them as needed
- Always available around the pool and actively assists other staff members when available
- Mixes, prepares and serves drinks according to standard recipes
- Dispenses alcoholic beverages according to State and Federal laws in a responsible, professional manner
- Responsible for assisting guests with their pool towels and any other needs they may have
- Maintains and cleans equipment and work area
- Ensures all member pool charges are correctly recorded and reported
- Takes ownership of problems as they arise and works with management to resolve them by generating and offering solutions
- Develops and maintains an effective flow of communications between all related departments
- Suggests new products and service methods to improve the selection and performance in the department
- Performs any additional duties as required by the F&B Manager, Supervisors, and General Manager
What You Bring
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in food served at a resort or restaurant preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of food service
- Neat appearance, good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Able to calmly and professionally work in a busy environment
- Physically able to be on their feet a minimum of 8 consecutive hours and able to lift 50lbs
