Role Overview:
The General Maintenance Worker performs routine maintenance and repairs to ensure buildings, equipment, and grounds remain safe, functional, and presentable for staff, clients, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of equipment, systems, and building infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Repair or replace doors, windows, locks, and other fixtures.
- Perform basic carpentry, painting, and patching of walls, floors, and ceilings.
- Maintain grounds: lawn care, snow removal, and trash collection.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
- Coordinate with external contractors for larger repairs or installations.
- Maintain maintenance logs and comply with safety/building regulations.
- Perform cleaning as needed to maintain a safe environment.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance with focus on major operating systems.
- Proficient with tools and basic troubleshooting of logic controllers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented with ability to work under pressure.
Compensation:
- Sign-on bonus: $1,250 at 6 months, $1,250 at 1 year.
