Role Description
This is a full-time Trial Attorney role at the Birmingham, Al office of Blackstone Trial Group, PLLC. The attorney will be responsible for managing and leading litigation cases related to national correctional healthcare defense. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and filing motions, preparing for and conducting depositions, going to trial with a Senior Trial Attorney and collaborating with clients, witnesses, and expert consultants. The role also involves legal research, development of case strategies, and providing sound legal guidance to clients.
Alabama or Arizona state bar license required with willingness to become licensed in other states. Travel may be required.

Correctional Medicine Defense | Blackstone Trial
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Law, including a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and admission to Alabama or Arizona state bar at a minimum
- 3- 5 years experience as a lawyer
- Experience with drafting and filing Motions and other legal documents
- Familiarity with Courts, legal procedures, and the litigation process
- Prefer experience in Trials, including presenting cases and examining witnesses
- Proficiency in conducting Depositions and preparing effective deposition strategies
- Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
- Prior experience or knowledge in correctional law or medical malpractice law is advantageous
