Quality Control Inspector

SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to analyze all materials/products throughout our facility ensuring accuracy and conformity to company documented requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspection activity
• Corrective action follow-up
• First article documentation
• Utilize knowledge in inspection techniques including calipers, CMM, and micrometers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• The candidate must have strong blueprint reading skills, basic inspection skills, ability to pay attention to detail, good shop math and reading comprehension skills, quality conscious, and a self-starter.
• The right candidate will be productive and respected by all levels of co-workers.
• They must be able to successfully work independently and also as a team member.
• Must be able to take direction.
• A good attendance history (reliability) and a demonstrated ability to learn new concepts and skills are a must.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
• Must have a minimum of 6 months experience.
