Concierge/Security Guard

Position Summary

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Concierge / Security Officer to join our residential property management team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for residents, guests, vendors, and staff.

This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in all situations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSecurity & Safety

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, employees, and company property.
• Monitor building entrances, common areas, parking areas, and security cameras.
• Control access to the property by verifying residents, visitors, vendors, and contractors.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of the building and surrounding property.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, disturbances, and suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
• Enforce community policies and report violations to management.
• Coordinate with emergency responders, police, fire department, and EMS when necessary.
• Monitor building systems and report maintenance or safety concerns immediately.

Concierge & Resident Services

• Greet residents, guests, and visitors in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Provide exceptional customer service and serve as the first point of contact for residents.
• Assist with resident requests, questions, and general building information.
• Receive, organize, and distribute packages according to company procedures.
• Manage visitor registration and maintain accurate visitor logs.
• Assist with move-ins, move-outs, and vendor access following property procedures.
• Maintain control of building keys, access cards, and other security devices.
• Report maintenance issues, cleanliness concerns, and building deficiencies promptly.
• Coordinate with property management, maintenance, housekeeping, and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle resident concerns professionally and escalate issues when appropriate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in security, concierge, hospitality, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• New Jersey SORA License preferred
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during emergencies.
• Strong observation skills and attention to detail.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office and email.
• Ability to operate security systems, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine patrols.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
