The company was incorporated to perform airfield management and transient alert services, base operations support, and logistics services, and bulk fuels operations and storage for government agencies and commercial clients. Our ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of fuel quality surveillance, inventory and accounting, preventive fuel maintenance, and environmental requirements. Must have at least two (2) years of experience in petroleum storage and distribution operations, airfield petroleum services, and fuel systems maintenance. A keen attention to detail and self-motivation are a must. The candidate must be dependable, consistently at work and on time, follow instructions well, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance. A demonstrated ability to monitor their own work to ensure accuracy and quality is essential. Candidate must possess the ability to use an automated inventory management system.
This position requires the individual to pass a background check, drug screening and work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the receipt, storage, internal handling, and shipment of petroleum products via all modes of transportation, to include trucks and pipeline (receipt and transfer).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receives stores, manages, and ships petroleum products via all modes of transportation, to include trucks and pipeline (receipt and transfer)
- Prepares and checks receiving or shipping documents for accuracy
- Connects lines, ground wires, and loading and off-loading arms or hoses to pipelines
- Maintains inventory of fuel following manual (requires climbing stairs to reach tank tops) and automated inventory management procedures for bulk storage tanks
- Visually inspects and tests samples of fuel to meet established standards
- Completes required reports per the statement of work
- Gauges tanks for water, temperature, and fuel levels, checks pumping systems for correct operating pressure or unusual noises, vibrations and leaks
- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on terminal systems
- Maintains grounds and performs general housekeeping for the terminal and pipeline
- Performs corrosion control activities of the facility and equipment to prevent deterioration and to maintain usability
- Prepares and submits reports or other verifying documentation as required for both local contract requirements and BA requirements
- Performs required tasks and training to meet prescribed safety standards, maintaining compliance with contract language for OSHA related standards
- Understands and abides by the standards set forth for ethical behavior and integrity as detailed in the Code of Business Conduct
- Perform moderate snow removal during winter months and other yard maintenance duties during the rest of the year
- Perform all other duties prescribed by management
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The following are required skills upon hire for the position:
- Working knowledge of bulk fuel terminal operations to include the receipt, storage, internal handling, and shipment of petroleum products via all modes of transportation to include truck and pipeline systems with at least 2 years of hands on operational experience
- Must be able to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to effectively and tactfully communicate with many levels of personnel in a variety of environments
- Must have a good working knowledge of the basic Microsoft Office suite of programs: Word, Excel, Outlook, and others
- Must be able to tactfully navigate delicate situations with finesse and sensitivity
- Must be detail oriented with a strong sense of motivation and drive to constantly perform at a high level of expertise
- Fluent English reading and writing skills to be able to read and understand guidance for day to day work requirements
- Must be physically able to lift 25lbs over your head without assistance
- Must be willing an able to ascend and descend spiral stair cases affixed to the outside of 55' tall jet fuel storage tanks
