Quality Assurance / Quality Control Manager "Data Center- Per Diem Offered"

We are currently hiring a QA/QC Manager for our client in the New Albany, OH area.

Working on a marquee, start of the art data center, the Quality Control Manager will coordinate and direct inspection work in area of discipline or for multiple disciplines as required. The Construction Quality Control Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the three phases of control and documentation and any other inspection and test personnel. In addition, the chosen person will prepare and implement quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment.

Key responsibilities

• The CQC Manager is required to schedule and manage weekly project QC Meetings, attend the Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting, perform submittal review and approval, ensure contract required testing is performed, and provide QC certifications and documentation required by the contract, and perform at the three phases of control for each definable feature of the construction work as follows:
• Preparatory Phase - performed prior to beginning work on each definable feature of work, after all required plans/documents/materials are approved/accepted, and after copies are at the work site.
• Initial Phase accomplished at the beginning of a definable feature of work including checking work to ensure that it is in full compliance with contract requirements, review minutes of the preparatory meeting, verify adequacy of controls to ensure full contract compliance, verify required control inspection and testing. And establish level of workmanship and verify that it meets minimum acceptable workmanship standards.
• Follow-up Phase - perform daily checks to assure control activities, including control testing, are providing continued compliance with contract requirements, until completion of the particular feature of work. Record the checks in the CQC documentation. Conduct final follow-up checks and correct all deficiencies prior to the start of additional features of work which may be affected by the deficient work.
• Perform inspections and witness tests applicable to discipline to determine acceptability of work as required.
• Maintain work performance records, inspection records, and other related items, and insure correctness.
• Monitor subcontractor work to insure compliance with company standards, procedures, and codes when applicable.
• Coordinate quality control inspection schedule with other project schedules.
• Review purchase documents to insure compliance with quality control requirements.
• Conduct internal/external quality control audits. Define corrective measures for problem areas and insure implementation.
• Work with the project staff to plan and meet the project schedule requirements.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualifications required

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Architecture or Construction Management
• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer or Construction Manager on a similar size and type.
• Experience must include at least 2 years experience as a QC Manager.
• Must have knowledge and experience in working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
