Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall development and execution of a portfolio of metals industry projects (typically $1MM ) including profitability, quality, safety, client satisfaction, and alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client contact and manage relationships with clients and outside consultants
- Lead execution of multiple steel/metals industry projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality objectives are met
- Coordinate project delivery across disciplines and office locations
- Manage project financials including budgeting/forecasting, invoicing, and cash flow to ensure profitability
- Develop proposals, define scope/specifications, support contract negotiations, and manage change authorizations as needed
- Track project performance and provide regular client reporting on cost, schedule, and overall progress
- Support business development and client relationship growth in partnership with senior leadership
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering preferred
- PE license and/or PMP certification a plus
- Steel/Metals industry experience is REQUIRED
- 5 - 10 years of project management experience (consulting environment preferred)
- Experience leading complex heavy industrial or manufacturing projects
- Knowledge of project delivery models (A/E, AEPCM, Design-Build)
- May require occasional car or air travel to other company locations or client sites
- This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence and auto insurance coverage
