Air Permitting and Compliance Specialist in Bridgeport, WV

We are seeking an experienced Air Permitting and Compliance Specialist to support our clients environmental compliance efforts across field operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in air programs who enjoys working both in the field and in a collaborative, regulatory-focused environment.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations while supporting permitting strategies and ongoing operational needs.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare and review air permit applications and supporting documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable environmental regulations and permit requirements
- Provide technical support for environmental compliance programs and initiatives
- Work closely with regulatory agencies to interpret and clarify requirements
- Support environmental incident response, investigations, and corrective actions
- Assist with implementation of compliance tools, including HSSE systems and GIS integration
- Conduct environmental reviews and audits to minimize risk and maintain compliance
- Stay current on evolving environmental regulations and apply updates to operations
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5 years of relevant environmental experience, preferably in oil & gas
- Strong experience with air permitting and compliance programs
- Knowledge of NSPS OOOO/a/b, NSPS JJJJ, and WV air permits (G-70E preferred)
- Familiarity with CAA, NPDES, SPCC, and other environmental regulations
- Ability to balance fieldwork with office-based responsibilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across diverse teams
