Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating flat bed trailers. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, proper load handling, and adherence to all safety regulations. Trucks haul from the same yard everyday and are home every night- five days a week.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, including flat beds, dump beds, and pneumatic trailers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards
- Secure freight properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and delivery operations
- Strong knowledge of truck driving regulations and safety procedures
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Experience with flatbeds and dump beds preferred
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance
- Ability to handle various freight types and adapt to different vehicle configurations such as tractor-trailers and specialized trucks
