What You’ll Do
As an Emulsion Plant Mechanic, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant operating safely and efficiently by applying your technical expertise to equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, agitators, mills, valves, burners, piping systems, hot oil units, and boilers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Assist with installation, commissioning, and upgrades of plant equipment and systems.
- Conduct inspections to identify wear, corrosion, and potential equipment failures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and equipment histories.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and operations team to coordinate repairs.
- Respond to emergency callouts when critical plant issues arise; occasional weekend work may be required, with scheduling managed to support work–life balance.
- Perform additional plant duties as assigned by the Plant Manager to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Work Requirements
- Stand for extended periods.
- Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Perform repetitive physical tasks and body movements.
- Work in outdoor and industrial environments, including extreme weather, with appropriate protective gear.
- Safely climb ladders, tankers, and vertical tanks.
- Be flexible with working hours to respond to plant needs and emergencies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational certification in industrial maintenance or mechanics preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an industrial mechanic, maintenance technician, or similar role (chemical, asphalt, or emulsion manufacturing preferred).
- Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, piping systems, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics a plus.
- Welding, fabrication, and basic electrical troubleshooting skills a plus.
- Familiarity with hot oil systems, boilers, and burners preferred.
