Position Summary
The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to golfers and guests on the course. This position plays a key role in enhancing the member and guest experience by offering prompt, friendly, and professional service while maintaining accurate sales and inventory records. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Greeting all golfers and guests warmly, providing a welcoming and hospitable experience.
- Promote and upsell beverages, snacks, and specials while maintaining product knowledge and informing guests about upcoming events and specials.
- Anticipate member/guest needs and respond quickly to requests.
- Operate the beverage cart in a safe and professional manner, adhering to all club, course and street rules.
- Ensure the cart is fully stocked before each shift with beverages, snacks, ice, and supplies.
- Process transactions accurately, handling cash and POS systems responsibly.
- Monitor product levels during the shift to minimize restock interruptions.
- Always maintain cleanliness of the cart; clean and sanitize surfaces regularly and at the end of the shift.
- Charge the cart and return it to designated storage area at the end of the shift.
- Check IDs and ensure all alcohol is served in accordance with state and local laws.
- Follow all club policies regarding responsible alcohol service.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Previous experience in hospitality, bartending, or customer service preferred.
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol from a beverage cart.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift to 40 lbs. and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Outdoor Setting: Most duties are performed outdoors on the golf course.
- Weather Conditions: Work is subject to seasonal changes and varying temperatures; occasional shifts may involve indoor or air-conditioned areas.
- Noise Level: The environment may be fast paced with moderate to high levels of noise from golfers, carts, and course activity.
- Work Pace & Pressure: The position may require working under pressure, particularly during tournaments, weekends, and special events.
- Interaction: Frequent interaction with members, guests, staff, vendors, and department heads requires strong communication, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to health, sanitation, and safety protocols, including responsible alcohol service, safe driving practices, and food handling standards, is required.
