We are looking for a motivated, reliable, Forklift Operator with 2 years of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment and handling material without the use of pallets on our 3rd shift. The hours are 10pm -6am M-F with occasional mandatory overtime on Sunday night. Must be flexible and willing to work overtime as needed. The pay rate is $24.89 per hour plus a shift differential of $1 per hour.

This job requires you to complete a background check and pass a drug test. We also participate in E-Verify.

Job Title: Forklift Operator/Shipper

Summary

The Corrugator Forklift Operator/Shipper is responsible for routing and transporting loads of corrugated board from the Corrugator via powered and/or gravity conveyor and by operating a fork truck.

Summary of Responsibilities includes the following:

· Routes units of finished sheets to the unitizer or loads of in-process board to the converting department.

· Transports loads on powered or gravity conveyor or moves loads with a fork truck.

· Inserts Finished Goods Load Tags or In-process Tags into loads as required.

· Operates the bander to unitize units of finished sheets and some in-process loads.

· Inspects the quality of the loads from the corrugator and removes defective sheets from the loads.

· Maintains good housekeeping and finished sheets storage areas at the corrugator.

· Stacks and stores units as required.

· Load orders onto trailer as required.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memo; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:

Employees must be able to use basic key boarding to enter production and/or product information into the computer system as needed. (i.e. customer information, production etc.)

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Must possess a Fork Truck Operator’s license.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Employees must be able to accurately read and utilize a tape measure, ruler and/or other measuring device if necessary.
