Duties
Assist senior electricians in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems on construction sites. Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system setups. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, and fixture installation tasks. Support the testing of electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters and other testing devices to ensure system integrity. Help with the installation of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Participate in safety inspections, site clean-up, and ensuring adherence to all safety protocols during construction activities. Gain experience working with construction framing carpentry related to electrical infrastructure.
Experience
Previous experience working on construction sites or in a related trades environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment such as ohmmeters is beneficial. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical systems is a plus. Knowledge of industrial or commercial electrical systems—including low voltage and high voltage applications—is advantageous. Prior exposure to NEC standards or working with electricians on complex projects will help accelerate your learning curve. Construction site experience demonstrating reliability, teamwork, and safety awareness is highly valued. Candidates should possess strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in developing expertise in electrical work.
