Position Overview
Blackburn IM is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and support accounting operations across the firm’s portfolio. This role is ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, a high degree of accuracy, and a passion for maintaining financial integrity. The Bookkeeper will collaborate closely with management to ensure timely, transparent, and accurate reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Transaction Management
- Record and categorize financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with quarterly investor reporting.
- Maintain organized records of financial documents and ensure compliance with internal controls.
Support for Accounting & Audit
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Support external audits and tax preparation by providing necessary documentation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate coding of expenses and alignment with project budgets.
- Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting needs across the portfolio.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
