Blackburn Domene & Burchett has an opening for a Litigation Paralegal. 3 years of experience is required; experience reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing medical records is required. This position reports to two partners and two to three associates. Requires knowledge in using Microsoft Word, OneDrive, and Outlook as well as familiarity with PACER and CourtNet. Candidates must possess excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills, and be self-starters with a proactive work ethic. The position requires the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks independently, and to work closely with other staff in a team-oriented fashion, as needed.
Description of Responsibilities
· Request and summarize medical and other types of records.
· Prepare materials and exhibits for pleadings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
· Research and work with expert witnesses.
· Work with clients to obtain documents for discovery.
· Assist attorneys in all stages of litigation, including trial.
· Attention to detail and discretion in dealing with highly sensitive information.
