Role Description:
The Field Layout Robotics Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY. This role is responsible for operating field layout robotics and related equipment to translate digital design plans into accurate physical layouts on construction sites. Day-to-day tasks include setting up, calibrating, and operating robotic layout systems; reading and interpreting drawings, models, and layout plans; and marking or verifying layout points on floors, walls, and other surfaces. The operator will inspect work areas and completed layouts for accuracy and quality, troubleshoot basic equipment issues, and perform routine maintenance on machines and hand tools. The role also involves coordinating with project managers, designers, and field crews, reporting progress and issues clearly, following safety protocols, and documenting layout activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience with layout quality control practices, including measuring, verifying tolerances, and documenting layout accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for coordinating with site teams, supervisors, and design staff.
- Comfort reading and interpreting construction drawings.
- Comfort operating an iPad.
- High attention to detail, reliability in following procedures, and commitment to safety standards.
- Prior experience in construction, surveying, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, and work on active jobsites for extended periods.
- Ability to lift 75 pound loads daily and work in varied weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in construction technology, surveying, or robotics is a plus.
- OSHA 30 is required.
- NYC SST (Site Safety Training) card is required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.

- Base Salary: $75,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience
