Claims Specialist – Workers' Compensation & Commercial Auto

Seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to oversee New York Workers' Compensation claims from intake through resolution. This role will also support Commercial Auto claims and serve as a key liaison between clients, carriers, defense counsel, and internal teams to ensure claims are managed effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee New York Workers' Compensation claims throughout the claim lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between insureds, carriers, brokers, and defense counsel.
- Review claims for compensability, reserves, settlement opportunities, and overall claim strategy.
- Monitor claim activity, hearing outcomes, Board decisions, and carrier performance.
- Ensure compliance with New York Workers' Compensation Board requirements and deadlines.
- Coordinate return-to-work and light-duty programs with clients, carriers, and medical providers.
- Conduct claim reviews with clients and assist with settlement evaluations.
- Support Commercial Auto claims as needed.
Requirements:
- Active New York State Adjuster License.
- Minimum 2 years of New York Workers' Compensation adjusting experience.
- Strong knowledge of New York Workers' Compensation law, Board procedures, litigation, and settlements.
- Experience managing claims through resolution, including complex and litigated files.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple claims and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling Commercial Auto claims.
- Working knowledge of Commercial Property claims.
