Top Chef Winner and Michelin Green Star Chef Hosea Rosenberg is looking for dedicated day time line cooks for our Denver Market and Butcher Shop. In this vital role, you will prepare and cook a variety of sandwiches and small plates with precision and creativity, ensuring every plate meets our high standards. You will help customers and guide them through our menu. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Whether you're crafting delicious food or supporting kitchen and cashier operations, this position offers a lively environment where your talents can thrive and grow.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and quality standards.
- Set up and stock workstations with necessary items
- Greet customers in a polite and professional manner, helping them with purchases and packaging products according to company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized station at all times, assisting other staff members with the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen as a whole.
- Assist other kitchen staff with food prep, portioning, and plating.
- Close and organize stations efficiently, communicating with management any ordering or prep needs related to their station.
- Perform assigned duties accurately and efficiently in accordance with established procedures and standards.
- Follow all operational instructions, including direction from supervisors an management.
- Wash dishes, equipment, and smallwares, monitoring chemical inventory in the dishpit and communicating all needs to management.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge relevant to the position.
- Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, health department, and workplace safety
- standards.
- Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors, and team members.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
- Properly complete opening, closing, and shift-specific procedures.
- Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
- Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned by management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, preferably in retail or high volume environments
- Great customer service skills
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with high volume execution, meal preparation, and food service operations
- Familiarity with dietary department standards or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a passion for culinary excellence
