Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile environment and prepare OR equipment for procedures.
- Assist with instrument, sponge, and sharps counts, and ensure equipment safety.
- Support patient positioning, transport, and emergency response.
- Maintain infection control, environmental safety, and OR readiness.
- Assist with supply management, staff orientation, and use of computerized systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least two years of prior surgical technologist experience.
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program and current certification or in the process of obtaining it.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (post-hire).
- Effective communication, teamwork, problem recognition, and safe judgment skills.
- Ability to perform basic math and adapt to changing situations.
