- Diagnosing and treating allergic and immunologic conditions such as asthma, hay fever, food allergies, eczema, sinusitis, and immunodeficiency diseases.
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic tests like skin prick, blood tests, patch tests, and pulmonary function tests.
- Developing individualized treatment plans that may involve medications, allergen immunotherapy, or immunoglobulin therapy.
- Educating patients and families on managing conditions, allergen avoidance, and lifestyle modifications.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Maintaining accurate documentation of patient records and test results.
- Managing emergency situations such as anaphylaxis.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with advances in allergy and immunology.
- Optional participation in research and education activities.
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Residency in Internal Medicine or Pediatrics and a two-year fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Allergy and Immunology.
- Valid medical license and BLS certification.
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
- Proficiency in diagnostic equipment and EHR systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
