Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, cleaning, and repairing residential and commercial pools to ensure safe and efficient operation. This role requires a strong understanding of pool systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to perform equipment repairs. The Pool Technician will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our clients by maintaining the highest standards of pool cleanliness and safety.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine pool maintenance, including cleaning filters, skimming debris, and balancing chemical levels
- Conduct inspections of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators
- Repair or replace faulty pool equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs promptly
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Ensure all pools meet safety standards and comply with health regulations
- Assist with seasonal start-up and shutdown procedures for pools as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining maintenance procedures and recommendations to clients
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
- Prior experience as a service technician or in pool maintenance preferred
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and chemical balancing
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license is preferred for travel between job sites
- Experience working with maintenance equipment is a plus
