Summary:
Black Swift Group is a Boulder, CO-based investment manager with a 10-year track record. Black Swift is currently searching for a new Investment Advisor and Director of Client Services to join its team of seasoned professionals. The candidate will be responsible for cultivating relationships within the current client base as well as liaising with prospective investors. The role involves ongoing support for a separate account management business and Black Swift’s alternative investment funds. The individual will be part of a small, dedicated client services and advisory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities:
- Running all aspects of the firm’s Advisory and Client Services team, drive business development, and lead the firm’s advisory strategy
- As the firm’s primary advisor, engage with investor base to communicate fund updates, strategies, and ad-hoc investor inquiries
- Prepare marketing materials, client reports, and periodic updates for the purpose of presenting and leading discussions with investors
- Monitor all investor transactions, coordinating with accounting, operations, and fund administrator to reconcile and ensure proper setup of all investor activities
- Responsible for the full client lifecycle and managing all capital flows for new and existing investors
- Goal-oriented and process driven approach to investment advisory
- Communicate with the firm’s CIO and COO on all activities and strategic initiatives
- Participate in Investment Team meetings to discuss and comprehend portfolio investment strategies and market views
Qualifications:
- 5 years of Investment Advisory and Client Services experience, with at least 3 years in a lead role
- Bachelor’s degree and Series 65 license required; CIMA, CAIA, CFA, CFP preferred
- Meaningful experience in the investment management industry – prior buy side, hedge fund, or other relevant alternatives experience
- Strong analytical skills with a working knowledge of equity and fixed income investments and derivatives
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a well-balanced EQ/IQ
- Strong written, verbal, and oral-presentation skills coupled with impeccable attention to detail
- Team player who can work collaboratively as well as individually; willing to “roll-up sleeves” in order to achieve a best-in-class outcome
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), custodial/administrator systems, with the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment
Compensation and Benefits:
· Base salary range $175,000 - $250,000 plus bonus, commensurate with experience
