Duties

• Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks to transport freight across various routes
• Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts or roll-off trucks, adhering to safety protocols
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations
• Plan optimal routes for timely deliveries while considering traffic, weather conditions, and delivery schedules
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery details and resolve any issues promptly
• Follow all safety procedures, traffic laws, and company policies during driving operations

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with endorsements hazmat, tankers
• Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and freight delivery experience
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and freight handling
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting cargo and performing vehicle inspections
• Strong navigation skills for route planning and adherence to schedules
