Barista at The Coffee Shop - Silver Lake Mall

The Coffee Shop, located near the center court inside of the Silver Lake Mall, is looking to add a part time barista to our growing team!We have the following shifts available:Tuesday through Friday : 9:30am-6:15pm.What You Can Expect:A family environment filled with people who share a passion for making the finest coffee and have fun doing it. Barista experience is required.About The Position:We are looking for an individual to prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea, as well as select food items, educate customers on our drink menu, make recommendations based on their preferences, up-sell special items, & take orders/cashier.Job Responsibilities:Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan, and specialty beverages. Perform opening and closing duties as outlined on our café checklist.To embody The Coffee Shop culture by helping customers by providing product and service information.Smile and welcome customers.Prepare & serve handcrafted coffee beverages.Serve baked goods.Provide 1-to-1 service to all customers, from hello to goodbye.Develop and maintain a knowledge base of evolving products and services.Willing to assist with merchandising/cashiering at our parent retail store as needed.Job Qualifications:A hospitality-first people person simply loves to make others feel good, no questions about it.A positive contributor to the team environment, working cohesively with others to deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.A multi-tasker who won't bat an eye even when caught under a bit of pressure.A fast learner can shift from one job to the next with ease.A punctual & reliable teammate, always on time for shifts.Pay: $16 per hour plus tips.
