Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting various construction projects by performing physically demanding tasks, assisting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Duties
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as framing, drywall installation, roofing, and flooring ect.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks like cutting, drilling, and assembling structures
- Aid in concrete work by mixing, pouring, finishing, and cutting concrete according to project specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans
- Install rebar, formwork, metal studs, and other structural components following safety guidelines
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for site development and restoration projects
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related fields is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation, concrete pumping, or welding is a plus
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and other construction equipment safely
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy machinery is desirable
