What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Diesel Mechanic position at Black's Diesel & Automotive?
Now hiring an experienced automotive and diesel technician with diagnostic skill. Must demonstrate an efficient ability to follow established flow charts, wire trace, and circuit test. L1 not required but helps. You'll be working at a small automotive diesel repair facility with a huge reputation. This is not an an entry level position!
We are located in the rapidly growing area of Willis, Texas. We pride ourselves on offering our technicians continuous training and hands on experience, with room to grow.
Responsibilities:
· Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
· Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
· Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.)
· Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues
· Provide accurate written repair orders
· Maintain equipment and tools in good condition
Skills:
· Proven experience as automotive mechanic is a must
· Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
· Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
· Ability to handle various tools
· Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
· High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred
· Valid ASE certification is a plus, but required for top pay.
We offer a 5 day work week, hands-on training and room for growth. Fun work environment with plenty of positive reinforcement. We have taken many B level techs and turned them into A level techs!
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
