Script Writer – City of Bloody Roses (Web Series)

Black Rose Records is seeking script writers for City of Bloody Roses (COBR), our animated urban fantasy web series launching via YouTube. Each episode runs 50–60 minutes and blends the supernatural depth of The Originals, the grit of Power and BMF, the multiverse chaos of Into the Spiderverse, and the cinematic action of God of War and Invincible.

This is not your average show. This is a war between bloodlines, gangs, gods, and destiny — and we’re looking for writers who can bring fire to the page.

Responsibilities:

• Write 50–60 min animated scripts in collaboration with the showrunner and lore team

• Develop compelling character arcs and ensemble dynamics over multiple episodes

• Capture the tone of urban realism blended with supernatural and mythic themes

• Build multiverse logic, high-stakes world events, and layered faction politics

• Incorporate feedback quickly and contribute ideas to the show’s long-term story arc

• Deliver high-quality scripts on tight deadlines (Google Docs or Final Draft preferred)

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2 years of screenwriting or narrative writing experience (TV, web series, or film)

• Strong command of character development, scene pacing, and dialogue

• Experience writing ensemble casts, anti-heroes, and multi-POV plots

• Familiarity with urban culture, supernatural themes, and crime syndicate politics

• Ability to write cinematic and emotionally charged action sequences

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience with comics, anime-inspired scripts, or animated series

• Are familiar with shows like The Wire, Arcane, Teen Wolf, The Boys, or Attack on Titan

• Can write action sequences and emotional gut-punches with equal skill

• Identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ , or have ties to communities often left out of fantasy narratives

• Have a portfolio that blends street realism, supernatural elements, and deep psychological themes
