We are looking for a Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time.
As our Kitchen Manager, you must be able to:
- Supervise food prep and cooking
- Check food plating and temperature
- Establish portion sizes
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Manage and Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)
- Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

As a Kitchen Manager, you will drive operational excellence, manage staff, control inventory, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety procedures, proper handling techniques, and culinary skills to foster a skilled and compliant team
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales tracking with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy hours
- Enforce food safety regulations and sanitation standards to maintain a clean, safe environment in compliance with health codes
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching, and facilitate staff training & development initiatives to promote team growth
- Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement within the kitchen operations
Experience
- Proven experience in quick service & fast food restaurant environments or casual dining settings with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
- Demonstrated management experience in restaurant or hospitality settings, including supervising teams and managing kitchen operations
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Union POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and reporting
- Experience with inventory control, food safety management, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams through effective communication, training, and performance management
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management with a focus on food production, catering, banquet service or bar/café environments is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills combined with basic math proficiency for accurate cash handling and inventory calculations
