What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource Nurse position at BLACK RIVER HEALTH INC?
Black River Health has a PER DIEM Resource Nurse position available. In collaboration with Nurse Directors, this position provides oversight and leadership among all nursing units. Manages available resources and collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to provide safe, quality, cost-effective patient care. This position also promotes a productive and supportive work environment for all team members. This position is:
- Per Diem, 24 hours per pay period, Night Shift, Every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation, non-benefited
Essential Duties:
- Reviews nursing documentation to ensure it meets established standards.
- Identifies, facilitates, and evaluates patient care practices and collaborates with nursing leaders to improve patient care.
- Remains current with the latest developments in patient care and changes in hospital policies/procedures/protocols.
- Assists and supports direct care providers in maintaining patient and family-focused care during complex and or emergent situations.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science or Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma RN
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- BLS required within 3 months of hire
- ACLS and PALS required within 1 year of hire
- NRP is strongly preferred or must be completed within the first six months of hire.
- Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO), S.T.A.B.L.E., and Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) is optional within the first two years of employment
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of patient care experience
- Current licensed Wisconsin RN
