The Director leads the organization’s technology strategy and operations to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing IT services. Oversees infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and systems architecture, and vendor partnerships while guiding departmental goals, policies, budgeting, and staff development. Essential Duties:
- Develops department goals in conjunction with establishing/implementing/developing/revising processes, policies, and procedures for department operations in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals. Provides leadership, vision, development, and implementation of short and long-term business goals for the department.
- Develops, implements, and maintains the organization’s IT strategic plan in alignment with BRH’s mission, clinical priorities, and financial objectives; leads technology governance processes to prioritize IT investments, manage risk, and oversee performance; manages IT operating and capital budgets to ensure cost-effective service delivery and fiscal stewardship; partners with hospital leadership to identify technology opportunities that enhance patient outcomes, operational efficiency, and compliance; and establishes and reports IT performance metrics (including KPIs, SLAs, system availability, incident response time, and user satisfaction).
- Leads the development, implementation, and governance of cybersecurity, privacy, and business-continuity programs; oversees access control, identity lifecycle, vulnerability mitigation, and incident response; and partners with compliance, risk, and audit teams to maintain adherence to HIPAA, NIST CSF, SOC 2, and other applicable standards.
- Oversees enterprise architecture, system interoperability, and data-governance strategies; ensures secure, efficient performance of clinical and business systems (EHR, billing, imaging, and related applications); advances analytics capabilities; and evaluates innovative technologies to support organizational growth and operational excellence.
- Directs technology vendor strategy, including contract negotiations, renewals, performance evaluations, and service alignment; and coordinates engagement with consultants, managed service providers, and regulatory entities to ensure value delivery and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, business, healthcare management, or engineering) with knowledge of IT principles and practices; Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in IT, analytics, or operations management required; 5 years preferred
- Demonstrated combination of technical, business, and leadership skills, including team development, mentoring, and strong interpersonal and communication abilities
