Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform the setup and operation of packaging and bagging equipment on designated product lines according to the production schedule
- Packaging and labeling coffee
- Ensure all safety devices and guards are fully operational and that safety procedures are being observed
- Ensure all production complies with quality and food safety standards
- Clean and sanitize equipment in accordance with food safety standards
- Ensure that regular and preventative maintenance procedures are carried out
- Perform safety checks on every machine prior to and during runtime
- Ensure that machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
- Setup operational parameters (run speed, quantity, shapes, and sizes) on machine terminals or controls
- Record all production performance, counts, downtime and other quality or production related information as required
- Participate in production process improvement efforts
Education and Skill Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- Previous packaging machine experience helpful
- Ability to safely lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.
- US Military Veteran a plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Physical Requirements
This is a full-time position and may require long hours and may require weekend and nights work per events
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work
- Light to moderate lifting is required
- Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate.
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic).
