Inventory / Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities
- Ordering and maintaining materials and supplies for overall facility use as required.
- Managing outside vendor contacts and acquiring the materials and supplies needed.
- Negotiating pricing and quality expectations with vendors.
- Maintaining control counts on all products upon delivery.
- Properly labels and store all products received.
- Disposition parts and controlled items to different departments within the organization while relieving inventory from our inventory management system.
- Maintaining accurate and orderly storage of items in the warehouse
- Leading and controlling accurate physical counts of monthly and annual inventory levels.
- Working with other department leads to properly create descriptions on BOMS and COGS of current and future projects.
- Managing other inventory personnel and delegating rolls and responsibilities as needed.
- Communicates with management team about all deliveries and outstanding items for accurate forecasting
- Maintaining a favorable working relationship with all other company team members
Job skills required
- Must be self-disciplined and motivated.
- Must be able to solve problems proactively
- Working knowledge of Oracle NetSuite software or similar ERP systems
- Receiving and Warehouse experience required
- Employee needs to be able to communicate effectively within the department and with management.
- Strong math, communication and counting skills needed.
- Experienced at weight counting for efficient inventory readiness.
- Must be able to read packing slips, invoices and shipping receipts.
- Must demonstrate ability to clearly verbalize any package content discrepancies to management.
