What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bell Staff (Seasonal) position at Black Point Inn?
Black Point Inn is currently seeking Bell Staff for May to end of October 2026 (must be able to work weekdays)! Bell staff are the first faces our guests see and are crucial to a high level guest experience. Members of the Bell Staff are responsible for welcoming and orienting arriving guests and ensuring a smooth experience upon departure. Bell staff will work closely with the Guest Services team, perform basic grounds maintenance, set up for events, as well as complete a checklist of daily tasks across the Inn. Our Guest Service Manager works directly with our members of the Bell Staff.
Bell Staff should be prepared to offer an exceptional level of guest service on a daily basis. Between their daily tasks of setting up the Inn for operation, Bell Staff could find themselves assisting our guests and their fellow staff members in a variety of ways. Ideal Bell Staff candidates are natural self-starters that can work well alone or as team, willing to learn new skills, and are enthusiastic about providing an exceptional level of service to our guests and jumping in where they can.
Location: Black Point Inn, Scarborough, ME
Hours: Full-time/Part-time (shifts are 6am to 2 pm and 2pm to 8pm)
Compensation: $16 - $19 per hour, depending on experience
Seasonal Position: Looking for someone who can commit to May through end of October
Start Date: ASAP

Experience: No experience is required, we will train the right candidate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Ability to communicate in English, both orally and written, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy.
Ability to work as a part of a team.
Ability to understand verbal and written directions, as well as workplace safety signage.
Active listening and observation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and deal with deadlines and stressful situations.
