What are the responsibilities and job description for the Development Manager position at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary?
The Development Manager (DM) is a member of the leadership team at Black Pine Animal Sanctuary (BPAS). The DM directly reports to the Executive Director and oversees several philanthropy programs, contributes to the organizational marketing strategy, education and volunteer program.
DEVELOPMENT
- Partners with the executive direct to create and implement organizational fundraising budget and philanthropic programs including individual, corporate, and foundational cultivation, solicitation and stewardship
- Lead efforts in developing and growing a diverse, robust donor base and pipeline at all levels, including annual fund appeals, e-solicitations, and online and monthly giving
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with current donors to increase gift size and retention through donor events, online and direct mail streams, and informal communication
- Creates and maintains corporate giving, individual donors under $3K and engages with the Executive Director on major gift solicitation over $3K
- Oversees development programs like Animal Champions, Area Sponsorships, individual giving, online giving, etc.
- Stewards donors and encourages increases in support
- Conducts tours for individuals and corporate groups in support of the mission
MARKETING
- Oversees the brand management of the organization through brochures, digital and printed ads etc in partnership with the ED
- Ensures that all internal and external communications are up to date with new brand strategies
- Acts as a spokesperson of the organization
HUMANE EDUCATION
- Oversees all educational programming in coordination with the organization’s educator
- Ensures camps, educational tours, in-school visits are on-par with grant documents and state requirements
Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
